Privacy Policy

1. Account information

When you sign up, we ask for your display name, email address, and password. We use your account information only to provide and protect your BoraChat account, send important service updates and notices, and, if you opt in, share BoraChat promotions. Passwords are stored as secure hashes, not readable text.

We do not sell or rent your account information, or share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Promotional emails will be optional and include an unsubscribe link. Essential account and security notices may still be sent.

2. AI conversations

Your account details are not automatically included in AI requests. To generate replies, BoraChat forwards your messages, conversation context, and selected model through its server to an AI provider, then returns the response. Personal information you include in a message is forwarded with that message. BoraChat does not save these conversations in its account database. AI providers handle submitted content under their own privacy practices.

3. Browser storage and cookies

Saved chat history, bookmarks, and preferences stay in your browser and do not sync across devices. You can delete saved chats or clear your browser’s site data to remove local data.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and track guest question limits. Sign-in cookies last up to 30 days; guest cookies last up to one year. Our database stores hashed identifiers, session details, and guest question counts.

4. Providers and retention

We use service providers for hosting, account storage, and AI responses. These providers may also handle technical logs under their own policies.

Account and guest-usage records currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Local chat history remains in your browser until deleted.

5. Questions and requests

To ask about your information or request account access, correction, or deletion, email privacy@borachat.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will update this page and its effective date when this policy changes.
